Ana Gonzales bio

Ana Gonzalez de Jorgenson, an artist's daughter, from Mexico, was born to a music-loving family. She was raised listening to classical, old boleros and traditional romantic, ranchero and ballads of romance. Ana is a lover of the operas and tangos. In addition, she is a fan of drama performances. Ana began learning and singing musical instruments with her mother she began her more intensive singing training at the age of sixteen with world-renowned Mexican Tenor Flavio Becerra. It was at the School of Music of Guadalajara University and the School of Sacred Music of Toluca in Mexico furthered her education in music. In Guadalajara and Mexico City, she was an opera singer in numerous chamber and choruses. She was a member of the Fort Lauderdale Symphony Chorus in the United States before moving to Southern California. She performs solo Latin American music for private occasions and is a part of Ensemble XXI in Redlands. The passion and love she has for performing, painting, and performing has her participating with a variety of local initiatives in the roles of teacher and performer. Ana has also been an ex-member of Community Chorus of Redlands as well as the Inland Master Chorale and Performance Loft. Ana is grateful for being able to share her love and love for traditional Latin American songs with others while she hopes to impart a desire particularly among the younger generation to keep this vibrant music alive.Viva Mexico!
